Raine grew up on a small farm in the rural area outside of Sanctuary. She helped out on the farm as long as she could remember, with household chores, taking care of the animals, bailing hay, etc. Her father was a truck driver as well as a farmer, so alot of the daily duties were the responsibility of Raine and her mother, which they didn't seem to mind at all. Raine and her family got along very well, and Raine was a devoted daughter. Her mother and father wanted to give their daughter so much, but money was tight, but this didn't Raine at all. Her parents didn't, however, want her to follow in their footsteps and stay on the farm all her life. They always gently pushed her to do well in school so that she could get into a good college and have the opportunity to choose any career she wanted. Raine went to a small rural high school were everyone knew everyone. Raine is the typical firebrand redhead (a bit ornery at times); tall with well toned muscles from working on the farm, and although she got along with just about everyone, they all knew she wouldn't take shit from anybody, she even would stand between some of the weaker/younger students and the ones that tried to bully them...she did well in school, and then began attending the county's community college...which was deplorably small compared to the community college within the city of Sanctuary, but the drive and the extra tuition costs were something Raine didn't have the luxury of. She kept in touch with her friends from high school, many of whom went to the larger state and private universities in the area. Recently, Raine had been getting really bad headaches, she would get dizzy and things would seem askew somehow, though she couldn't really explain it....the local doctor thought it might be stress-related; finals were coming up soon... Raine didn't think that was the reason, but she agreed to take a long weekend to visit some friends at the state university's Sanctuary campus.
